Louis Tomlinson has opened about his sorrow following the deaths of his mom and sis.
The former One Instructions star’s family was left devastated when his mum, Johannah Deakin, lost her battle with leukaemia in December 2016.
Earlier this year, Felicite Tomlinson, 18, died after unintentionally overdosing on a combination of drug, anti-anxiety drug Xanax, and painkillers, with a coroner later on recording a misadventure verdict in respect of her passing.
Talking to The Guardian, 27-year-old Louis admitted the disasters in his family have provided him a different point of view on life, and suggested the heartbreak has actually “provided him strength”.
” That entire dark side I’ve gone through, it sounds dumb to say, but it offers me strength everywhere else in my life, because that’s the darkest s ** t that I’m going to need to deal with,” the Kill My Mind hitmaker shared. “So it makes whatever else, not feel simpler and not less important, however, in the grand plan of things, you see things for what they are, I suppose.”
Tomlinson insisted he has “no time at all for me to be sat sensation sorry for myself”, and included: “I have actually been to rock bottom and I seem like, whatever my profession’s going to include front of me, it’s going to be absolutely nothing as big or as emotionally heavy as that.
” So, weirdly, I have actually turned something that’s really dark into something that empowers me, makes me more powerful.”
Louis went on to thank fans for their love and support, and was adamant he does not desire individuals to sympathize with him, as he’s focusing on living in the moment.
