Authorities are searching for the killer of a soldier who had actually returned home just months before he was fatally shot, Tennessee cops say.
Jacob Bishop, 35, was a dad of 2 who returned to Lenoir City after serving a year in Poland with the Tennessee Army National Guard, the Loudon County Constable’s Workplace said Tuesday.
His mom found his body on the early morning of Oct. 1, authorities stated. He was physically bound and shot multiple times.
The killing seems to be a separated event and not random, cops stated.
” We have been pursuing several leads, investing many hours around the clock, in our search for ideas that we need to lead us to the celebration or parties responsible for the terrible killing” Sheriff Tim Guider said in a declaration.
Witnesses informed officers they saw a white SUV in the area in the days leading up to the killing. The exact same car was spotted leaving the location the day Bishop was shot. Cops are searching for more information on the car.
” Although a thought isolated crime, the suspect, or suspects, ought to be considered armed and dangerous given the specifics of the murder,” the constable’s office said.
Guider called Bishop “among our Country’s guardians.”
