Harvey Weinstein stopped working to get Friends star Jennifer Aniston into a dress after she declined to use one of his other half’s styles to a premiere.
The disgraced motion picture boss has been accused of harassing and assaulting a number of women, but Aniston insists he knew much better than to get fresh with her, revealing the only altercation she had with the manufacturer was over a red carpet outfit.
Weinstein went to the starlet in London and insisted she use a dress from his now ex-wife Georgina Chapman’s Marchesa brand name.
“( It was) right when Georgina’s clothes line Marchesa was beginning,” Jennifer tells Range. “That’s when he concerned visit me … while we were shooting. He ‘d resemble, ‘Ok, so I ‘d like you to use among these to the premiere’.
” I went through the book (of choices), and at the time, it wasn’t what it is today. It was not for me. He was like, ‘You have to use the gown’.
” That was my only bullying. And I resembled, ‘No, I will not wear the dress’.”.
Aniston remained bold and Weinstein eventually understood it was no use forcing the actress to don something she didn’t wish to wear: “What was he going to do? Come by here and make me wear it? He knew better.”.
