Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was called in a a claim for a crash at the Lincoln Tunnel in an automobile rented under his name back in 2017, per TMZ.
Odell Beckham Jr. did his pal a favor, and now the Cleveland Browns wide receiver could be paying the cost.
Beckham was called in a lawsuit by Celeb Motors and Lexington Insurance Provider for a motor accident in the Lincoln Tunnel back in 2017, according to TMZ.
The occurrence, which occurred throughout Beckham’s time with the Giants, included a BMW 650XG he leased from Celebrity Motors. Though he was the only individual licensed to drive the automobile– which deserves $103,000, according to TMZ– he provided it to a friend named Blake Anderson.
According to the claim, Anderson “apparently ‘carelessly’ cut across a number of lanes of traffic to attempt and leave the tunnel, but instead struck another car triggering $38k in damage to the BMW.”
Lexington Insurance coverage, who is submitting the fit, declares “must have known his friend is an awful and risky motorist with multiple traffic offenses and had no experience driving an automobile with “this sort of power.” They also claim Anderson does not have the methods to spend for the damage,” according to TMZ.

Beckham might have an out.
Lexington Insurance confessed in the lawsuit that their contract with Beckham was just an “oral arrangement,” giving the wide receiver the possibility to claim he never ever agreed to take duty for anyone else driving the cars and truck.
Beckham will end up fine, at least financially, no matter the result of the suit. He must have the money to pay for a settlement if it boils down to that, seeing his base salary for the 2019 season alone was just under $17 million.
