Olivia Colman: ‘The Queen Is The Ultimate Feminist’

Olivia Colman has admired Queen Elizabeth II as the “ultimate feminist”.

The actress takes over from Claire Foy as the British royal in the upcoming third period of prominent Netflix program The Crown, and spurted she’s “fallen in love” with the majesty while transporting her for the series.

“( The Queen is) the ultimate feminist. She’s the breadwinner. She’s the one on our coins and also banknotes. Royal prince Philip has to stroll behind her,” Colman told Radio Times magazine. “She taken care of automobiles in the 2nd World War. She demanded driving a king who came from a country where women weren’t permitted to drive (King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, at Balmoral in 1998). She’s no diminishing violet.”

Clarifying just how exploring The Queen’s narrative has influenced her day-to-day life, The Favored actress included: “( I was) most definitely funneling her, but after that I just began to do what the manuscript says and also I’ve fallen for the Queen.
