PS Plus Giving Gamers ‘NBA 2K20’, ‘Rise of the Tomb Raider and Erica for Free in July

You can ‘NBA 2K20’, ‘Erica’ and ‘Rise of the Tomb Raider.’

In honor of the 10-year anniversary of PlayStation Plus, Sony is distributing a bonus offer video game as part of this month’s lineup. From July 7th through to August 3rd, PS Plus subscribers can grab NBA 2K20, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Erica totally free. While NBA 2K20 needs no intro, Rise of Tomb Raider is the 2nd entry in Square Enix’s Tomb Raider remake. The most current game in the series, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, came out in 2018.

If you have not already played it, you’ll wish to get Erica. It’s a single-player video game that integrates full-motion video (FMV) with an interactive story in which you can decide how the primary character acts. It becomes part of a continuous renaissance of FMV video games that’s included projects like Her Story and The Complex.

Besides the bonus gift, Sony is hosting a free online weekend starting on July 4th. If you don’t sign up for PS Plus, you can play some of your multiplayer video games online without a membership. The business is also distributing a PS Plus-inspired theme for a limited time.

Now that it’s 10-years-old, it’s tough to envision what the modern-day video gaming landscape would appear like without the influence of PS Plus. When Sony started giving away month-to-month complimentary games in 2012, Microsoft matched the service with Games with Gold in 2013. Gamers have actually come to expect that they’ll get some complimentary games for signing up for a monthly video gaming service, so much so that when it came time for Google to release Stadia, even it made certain to consist of complimentary titles for subscribers.
