Warframe, the action role-playing third-person shooter, is getting a new update that takes the players to an infested planet. The developers of the game, Digital Extremes, released the first game of the series in March 2013 for Windows PC. Later on, it was ported to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in November 2013 and September 2014 respectively. In November 2018 it was ported to Nintendo Switch.
In Saturday’s presentation by TennoCon it was unveiled that the next big update of Warframe was set to debut across all platforms on 25th August 2020. Here’s all that you need to know about the update:-
New Player Experience
Some new players may initially find the game very intimidating. So, Digital Extremes added better tutorials and introduction to the world of Warframe. The Heart of Deimos will bring new player experience to live servers as well which will enable the players to go through much smoother instructions on how to control and play the game.
The new update will bring a new Warframe named Xaku. The community designed Xaku is a ‘broken’ Warframe. It has muscle-looking metal and plasma ropes giving it a very creepy design. After Xaku comes the Alchemist – a mad scientist with detachable arms. This sleek reaper character was designed by the community artist two years ago.
New Open-World Zone
Heart of Deimos unlocks the second moon of Mars, Deimos. It shelters a plethora of hidden technology and was once a research site into the Void. However, Deimos is infested with thick rot and murder. Also, the players have to ensure that the Heart of Deimos doesn’t stop beating.
Deimos is much smaller and dense compared to Orb Vallis and Plains of Eidolon which are also open-world zones like Deimos. The players can navigate through the canyons and peaks using the giant, dragonfly-like beasts. Also, there is no standard day and night on Deimos.
It also seems like the players will find out much more about the Void. After seeing the demo at TennoCon, players are really excited about the new update which is set to be released on 25th August 2020.
