The owner of an Iowa bar named the Pour Bastards Pub was busted for letting customers disregard social-distancing guidelines– then destroying the charge sheet when served at his bar, according to a report.
When cops first challenged Charles King at his Newton bar on Sept. 4, he supposedly told them he did not believe in state-issued standards and would let in anybody who wanted to come, the Newtown Daily News stated.
Officers returned last Thursday night to serve him with a criminal charge for public health offense– which he tore through with a pen and ripped from the officers’ clipboard, the paper stated, citing the police report.
The bar owner was then hit with additional charges for struggling with police who jailed him. He was then likewise charged with possession of contraband in a correctional institution when he was allegedly found with a vape cartridge which contained 87.2 percent THC and.2 percent CBD, the paper stated.
King was out on a $5,600 bond with his preliminary appearance set for Sept. 29., the paper said.
