This holiday season, HBO Max has collaborated with 7-time Grammy winner Carrie Underwood to highlight tracks from her upcoming Christmas album, My Gift.
My Gift is Carrie Underwood’s first-ever Christmas album, which is set to drop on CD and digital on Friday, September 25th, and on vinyl on October 30th.
The event will be premiered during the holiday season. The singer-songwriter will appear with a live orchestra and choir and perform a combination of traditional favourites celebrating her faith and the spiritual nature of the holiday, as well as new original tracks from the highly anticipated forthcoming album.
On Thursday, Sarah Aubrey, the head of original content at HBO Max, said in a statement, “Carrie Underwood is a multi-faceted talent and we are thrilled to be partnering with her and our friends at Playtone to bring a dose of holiday cheer,”
The five-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year and the 2020 ACM Entertainer of the Year, Carrie Underwood said, “The journey of writing and recording this album started last year when I finished my tour and we could have never anticipated the circumstances we would be in this year. Creating this album has been good for my heart and I’m thrilled to get to share it with the world and to bring it to life with Playtone and HBO Max.”
The HBO Max holiday special will be executive produced by Playtone’s Gary Goetzman and Tom Hanks, along with Underwood and her manager, Ann Edelblute.
