Emily Ratajkowski has transformed into a writer!
The model announced her upcoming book of essays titled: “My Body.”
On her Instagram, she shared the news with her 26.8 million followers. The image consisted of an unbound manuscript. The front page is titled: “MY BODY, An Essay Collection by Emily Ratajkowski.”
In the caption, Ratajkowski wrote:
“Thrilled and humbled to announce my book of essays entitled “My Body” will be published by Metropolitan Books @macmillanusa @henryholtbooks.
It’s surreal to be working with an imprint that has published so many writers I admire (Noam Chomsky! Edward Snowden!) Now it’s time to get to work!”
Metropolitan is an imprint of Henry Holt and Company. In the book, Emily Ratajkowski addresses how women are treated as a commodity. Also, how men treat women and why women permit it.
My Body is will be published in 2022.

Metropolitan Books Editor Sara Bershtel appreciated Ratajkowski’s work in a statement given to Associated Press.
“Emily Ratajkowski reveals herself to be devastatingly honest, nuanced, and strong — I’m not surprised that she thinks of herself first as a writer. I also admire how outspoken she is, how political, and how unafraid – what force she’ll be!”
The 29-year-old got spotted after her cameo in the Blurred Lines music video. She appears alongside Singer Robin Thicke, T.I. and Pharrell Williams. The video garnered about 693M views on YouTube since its release.
After which, the model started her own swimwear line, Inamorata.
Ratajkowski has been an advocate for women’s health issues. She is currently a spokesperson for Planned Parenthood.
Last month, Emily Ratajkowski wrote an essay describing her experience with sexual misconduct. She spoke about how her fight to gain rights for her images began. New York Magazine published the writing titled: “Buying Myself Back”.
