Taylor Simone Ledward has requested the courts to make her an administrator for her late husband’s, Chadwick Boseman, estate.
Court documents were acquired by E! News. In which, Ledward filed a probate case in LA on October 15th.
The documents enlisted Boseman’s parents, Leroy and Carolyn Boseman, as well. Noting that as the actor died “intestate,” meaning he did not have a will.
The Black Panther actor’s estimated estate is listed as $938,500.
The case comes two months after her husband passed away die to colon cancer. Chadwick Boseman was 43 at the time.
The actor had been very private about his battle with cancer. His family shared the news of his passing on social media.
“It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman. Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV.
A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much.”
Before working with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Boseman was known for his role of Jackie Robinson in 42 & James Brown in Get On Up.
Following which, he portrayed King T’Challa that became one of the beloved roles in the MCU. Although, he was notoriously private about his personal life. It was not a well-known fact that he married Taylor Simone Ledward.
While accepting the 2019 NAACP Image Awards, Chadwick acknowledge his wife with a shout out.
“Simone, you’re with me every day. I have to acknowledge you right now. Love you.”
Boseman passed away on August 28th. A memorial service was held in September in Malibu, California.
He was laid to rest in South Carolina where his parents live.
