According to an article published in Electrek, Tesla has stopped its seven days, no questions asked policy.
If the vehicle you bought had less than 1000 miles on it odometer and was not damaged, according to the company policy, it could be returned to the original seller and full amount was refunded to the customer.
This offer was often used as a marketing tool by Tesla and CEO Elon Musk. The return policy gives you confidence in the purchase of your vehicle and also is in addition to any other rights the customer may have under the applicable law.
According to Electrek, the customers who want to return their car will now be put in contact with the service department of the company.
The company has put an end to this offer. Now if the customers want to visit this webpage, they will be directed back to the homepage of Tesla.
However, it is still unclear why the company decided to put an end to this program. The company does not have a public relations department to entertain comment requests from the media.
It is quite unnatural of Tesla to stop a policy which showed that their customers could trust them. No replacement policy has been disclosed.
Although it is not clear if a lot of people are using this policy. Tesla had made a few changes in the policy over the years to avoid people from misusing it, but the reason to completely stop this policy is still not known.
